WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
An Educational Credential Assessment Report lists the educational credentials you have earned, and provides an expert opinion that compares them to similar credentials offered by Canadian institutions. This report gives employers, educational institutions and professional agencies confidence in the authenticity and legitimacy of the educational credentials you worked so hard to earn.
Having an ECA Report means you do not have to repeat your education in Canada. It tells employers how your credentials match up to Canadian education standards, and helps schools and colleges decide if and how you can continue your education. It can be used in some cases to obtain a licence to practice a profession, or to get certified in a particular field. In other words, an ECA Report from CES can open doors so that you can achieve your goals and reach your full potential in Canada.
CES Assessment Reports may also serve for
- Admission to colleges and other educational institutions.
- Membership, licensure, or certification by professional organizations and regulatory bodies.
We recommend that you first contact the organization you wish to approach to confirm that our educational credential assessment reports satisfy its requirements. The University of Toronto does not require an assessment of your academic credentials for admission, nor do most other universities in Canada.
